About Kids Academy  

Kids Academy opened in August 1993, as a professional, educational childcare center.  Our goal was to meet the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of each child enrolled at our facility. Our desire is for your child to spend a happy and productive day everyday.  Our center is opened Monday through Friday 6:00am-6:00pm year round, except holidays. Kids Academy is licensed childcare by the state of Kentucky.  We provide the children with nutritious snacks and meals each day while they are at Kids Academy.

Kids Academy offers an excellent preschool program to fill your child’s day with fun and creative learning experiences.  We have participated in the STARS for KIDS NOW Program since 2003.  STARS is an educational program developed by the Kentucky Department of Education for preschool age children.  The facility also includes a large, well-equipped playground for lots of exciting outdoor activities.  The children spend their days in a fun, nurturing environment geared toward social and academic development.

Children are accepted into our program beginning at six weeks old through 12 years old.  Each child is placed into their age appropriate classroom, where the environment, as well as the activities, are geared for the child’s specific needs.  We offer stimulating learning experiences for all ages, including infants.

There are many extra-curricular activities offered at Kids Academy.  We offer a dance class, a computer instruction class, a tumbling class, and on-site after school tutoring.  Your child, depending on age, is welcome to participate in as many as they choose.

At Kids Academy we are constantly striving for excellence in child care.  This year we have opened an informational website for our enrolled families as well as families who are searching for high quality childcare.  Another feature we have added for the enrolled parents only, is

 “ Web Cam”.  This allows parents to view their child via the internet while they are not able to be with their child.  The “ Web Cam” has proven to be an excellent tool for the parents to have the ability to actually see all of the fun learning experiences their child participates in throughout their day at Kids Academy.

Each month our parents receive a newsletter informing them of the special activities planned for their child.  Many times the parents are included to participate.  Our goal is to include the parent in their child’s learning process through daily communication and special parent/child events.
